The main purpose of Sugar Reduced is to promote research, development and projects within sugar reduction to benefit public health. Sugar Reduced preferably supports projects and research in nutrition science and lifestyle habit changes.
Sugar Reduced serves as an independent platform for sugar reduction commitments for external parties where projects can be evaluated, explored and implemented in the food value system. The platform implements activities for the generation of a global sustainable development strategy for the sugar reduction to be coordinated by the sustainable commodity initiative and partners.

Our aim: Make sugar reduction a CSR issue
Sugar Reduced’s mission is to lead, leverage and facilitate sugar reduction businesses and to have a positive impact on people’s health, as well as society’s health care costs. Our aim is to be recognized as a thought leader in not only reducing sugar but also leading CSR projects through sugar reduction. The Academy is also a business platform which conducts research, facilitates networks throughout the food value system and events, leads campaigns and provides consultancy and training for reducing sugar in food.
We are convinced that reducing sugar for a sustainable growth and an industrial vocation must be compatible with human health and social development.
